We are proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our Summer Internship Program — a decade of cultivating talent, building industry relationships, and developing the next generation of insurance professionals. As we mark this exciting milestone, we’re thrilled to introduce our 2025 summer interns:
- Ayden Dougherty – Claims Adjuster Intern
Ayden is majoring in Risk Management & Insurance and is expected to graduate in May 2026. He will be supporting our Claims Department during his time with us.
- Avery Prendergast – Insurance Operations Intern
Avery is pursuing a double major in Risk Management & Insurance and Legal Studies, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2025. She will be working with our Product Department this summer.
Both Avery and Ayden are active members of Gamma Iota Sigma, a premier professional fraternity that supports students pursuing careers in Risk Management, Insurance, and Actuarial Science. The Sigma Chapter at Temple University is nationally recognized for its commitment to developing students into future industry leaders through academic excellence, professional development, and community involvement.
At Farmers of Salem, we take pride in nurturing the next generation of talent. In fact, our very own Alex Maglio, now a Commercial Lines Underwriter, started as a summer intern through this very program! For over 10 years, we’ve partnered with Temple University’s Fox School of Business, whose Risk Management & Insurance (RMI) program is consistently ranked among the best in the country. This partnership has brought us a pipeline of skilled, motivated, and high-potential interns.
Our interns represent the future of our industry, and we are excited to mentor and support Avery and Ayden throughout their 10-week experience with us.
