Farmers of Salem  has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2026 honor by The News Journal. This list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage  LLC. The confidential survey uniquely measures the employee experience and its component themes, including employees feeling Respected & Supported, Enabled to Grow, and Empowered to Execute, to name a few..

In today's market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That's paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

We at Farmers of Salem were thrilled to be recognized at the Delaware Top Workplace Celebration on August 26, 2026, at the Chase Center!

Farmers of Salem ranked 5th among 24 companies in the Small Business category. We also received a special award for our commitment to Social Responsibility in the community, and Jim Doherty was recognized for his leadership at the helm of our organization.

During the celebration, one speaker shared three qualities that help workplaces succeed: kindness, care, and communication. These values are already part of what we do every day at Farmers of Salem and Salem Risk Associates — and they are areas in which we can continue to grow and become even better.
